Bloggers often spend hours on the internet researching ideas for new content, working on social media promotion, and a plethora of routine tasks. But the Internet is one place where you get pulled into an abyss of distraction easily. It is therefore very essential to have an interruption-free environment for better productivity. There are several free Chrome extensions available for bloggers to create an engaging workspace.
What are Chrome extensions?
Chrome extensions are plugins that add improved features to the Chrome browser. These are either provided by Google (such as Google keep) or developed by third-party individuals and pushed to the Web Store. Some extensions require us to create accounts (paid or free) with the extension provider, while others work instantly.
How to install a Chrome extension?
Go to Chrome Web Store
Search for the required extension using the Search box and click the Add to Chrome button to install the extension.
You can view the installed extension on the Chrome extensions(chrome://extensions) tab.
For removing an extension you can either right-click on the extension icon and select the “Remove from Chrome” option or use the Remove option from the extensions tab.
You can also temporarily disable the extension by using the slider on the extensions tab.
Let us now see 25 Chrome extensions that are beneficial to bloggers. I personally use most of them or at least have used it at some stage.

This extension works on Gmail, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Tumblr, and WordPress. Let us see an example with Twitter. The tool highlights the error as you type and offer the correction in a suggestion pane.
The tool also provides suggestions while working on the WordPress editor.
I use this tool for proofreading all my tweets, Facebook, and WordPress posts. The tool also displays a content score that shows your content quality.
My personal goal is to have a score of 95+ for all my posts. They also have a premium version priced at $11.66/ month. Premium version is a must-have for professional content writers as it focuses not merely on errors but also on content format and presentation style.

This is a simple tool for those who procrastinate. I always waste a lot of time reading through the never-ending Facebook feed or Reddit chats whenever I use these applications for blogging purposes. There may be many bloggers out there who can’t resist the temptation of clicking more and more links on social media platforms to see chats or posts. So for all of us, there is a beautiful plugin known as Stay Focused.

You can thus work free of distraction. I have found this plugin super effective.

All you have to do is to click the extension icon and click the elements on the webpage to view the entire CSS for that element.
25. Facebook Pixel Helper
Facebook pixels are code snippets from Facebook that you copy to the header section of your website. This helps Facebook to track visitor actions on the website and help them to render relevant ads to the audience. Facebook pixel helper extension detects pixels on the website and lets us know the details of the tracking cookie.
This Chrome extension is not only useful for bloggers running Facebook Ad campaigns.
You can utilize this plugin to stop being tracked by Facebook so that you don’t receive ads relevant to that set in your Facebook Feed.
Bloggers always need to access geo-restricted content or overcome the censorship that exists in their countries for research. The easiest way to set up a proxy is through a VPN. Betternet is a free proxy service that lets you hide your IP address with a single click without registration.

You can also add new feeds to the dashboard.
But this requires signing in to Panda which is absolutely free.
28.Print Friendly & PDF
You might like to read some interesting content on a piece of paper rather than on the screen. This is not easy, as you have to copy the content to Word processing programs and then format it to make it print-ready. Print-Friendly & PDF chrome extension makes this process as easy as a button click.
After installing the extension you have to click the extension icon when you view some great content to convert to print-friendly form.

29.One-Click Extensions Manager
Your chrome browser may have a clogged up interface with several chrome extensions in use. It becomes also difficult to manage the extensions from the browsers’ built-in “Manage Extensions” tab. The “One Click Extensions Manager” chrome extension resolves this issue and makes your browser squeaky clean.
All you have now is this extension icon on your tab.
This extension also has options to bulk enable and disable other extensions.
There are about 200,000 extensions available on Chrome Web Store and finding the right one is not an easy task. We should not use too many extensions as it will definitely slow down the Chrome browser and drain our CPU. Always go for extensions with a higher number of installations and good ratings.
I am sure that the above list is incomplete and there may be many hidden gems in Web Store for bloggers. Please mention your favorite extensions via comments and I will surely add them to the list.
